The Tile Screen Saver V1.1, July 22 1997
-= FREEWARE =-
What you need:
==============
- Windows 95 or above, Windows NT 4.0 or above
- A fast video graphics card
- HiColor or TrueColor video mode
(256 color or less looks UGLY, there is no palette handling)
- optional:
- a JPG image file or
- a 24 bit BMP image file
Installation:
=============
Copy the file "TileSaver.scr" into your system directory.
This is usually
- "c:\windows\system" in Windows 95 or
- "c:\winnt\system32" in Windows NT 4.0
Open your control panel, select the Screensaver tab and choose
the "TileSaver" entry of the listbox. That's all.
If it runs too slow
===================
If it runs fast in the preview window but too slow in
full screen mode, your graphics card is not fast enough
or your driver does not support accelerated bitblt functions.
If it runs too slow in the preview window too, your computer
is not fast enough. You should have at least a Pentium class
system with 100 MHz or above.
TIP: Press F5 while the screensaver runs to make the current
image your desktop wallpaper.
New in version 1.1
==================
- Fixed missing setup dialog in Windows NT 4.0
- Now supports JPG images
- Random image generator
- Built-in bilinear image scaler
Enjoy!
Michael.
